There’s three ways to sew mitered corners:
the simplest way (use if you won’t see the underside of your corner)
the prettier way (use if you will see the underside of your corner but only want to worry about 1 stitch)
the prettiest way (use if you want a corner that looks like those lovely linen napkins my mom has a full set of)
Simplest way: use if you’re NOT going to see the back
Use this if you will be topstitching the fabric to something that will hide the underside of your fabric, like these washcloths.
Prettier way: use if you WILL see the underside of the corner
Prettiest way: use if you WILL see the underside of the corner and you want it to look extra finished
